Warriors. Warlords. Wonderful.

Real talk moment: As the writer of this blog, I don't usually speak in the first person, instead I use the ubiquitous "we" of our shire. Warriors and Warlords was my first SCA event though, and I was blown away by the amazing caliber of every single person I met there. A group of over six hundred people, camping as a community for almost four days, with all the interactions and logistics that entails, and every single person I met was the height of courtesy, kindness, and authenticity. Every story from my shire-mates was the same. Huge thanks and kudos to every single person who organized, volunteered, and in any way participated in this event. Everything was amazing and perfect.
When our Seneschal, the now "Lord" Luftwine, showed up and invited me to come check out the local SCA group last summer, I thought "Hey, look at all this cool stuff they do." After the lovely and talented Baroness Bebhinn convinced me to take the time off work to participate in this event though, I can only think, "Wow. Look at all the fantastic people here." I don't want to sound cliche or trite, but in all honesty - if I didn't get the opportunity to meet you personally at this event, I am convinced that I'm the poorer for it, and if I did: I liked you a lot and I hope we meet again.
